Why did I make a shrine to Suoh Tamaki? Unlike the usual hyperactive, flirtatious characters in animanga, Tamaki is different. He cares about other people and has been through a lot. But even so, he never feels sorry for himself and tries his best to succeed and gain acceptance. Although he is treated with contempt at home, he never takes it out on anyone else.

Tamaki also honestly cares about everyone, especially his dearest friends. He is one of the few people who can tell the twins apart and has the ability to sense what other people are feeling. Whenever there is someone in trouble, Tamaki doesn't judge people based on their past mistakes, age or status in life, but helps everyone the same.

He knows what it's like to be alone, friendless and disowned and would never wish that on anybody. That's why when someone is fighting he becomes upset and does everything in his power to help fix it. Some people might take his personality to be annoying, but I think he acts the way he does out of geniune concern toward other's well-being. Ignoring his own problems, he thinks only of the pain and suffering that other people go through, which is why I think he's so obsessed with commoners.

Yes, Tamaki acts childish, but that is because when growing up he never had much of a childhood. He's trying to make up for lost years, I think, and also in doing so tries to cheer everyone up. When an event where seriousness is needed though, Tamaki can change his personality in an instant to defend or stand up for something that he believes in.

For some reason, a lot of people don't like Tamaki - but for the life of me I can't figure out why. Sure, he can he loud and obnoxious as well as a major playboy; but he also has another side to him that shows a depth that the other characters just don't have. And if it weren't for Tamaki there would be no Host Club, no family and all the other characters wouldn't have developed the way they have. Tamaki is the one who holds everyone together.
